Scrapit Sassy Layout

I have been accepted on a CT team at Scrapit Sassy and have finally finished my first two layouts for them. I used Deborah Sparks' kit Hidden Charms. I hope you like them, they are pictures that my best friend April took of my husband and me a few years ago as my birthday present from my dear hubby...he hates having his picture taken..but I loved each and every one and it was hard to pick one to go in these layouts... i just love the old timey vintage look.

new site

I found a new site last night while cruising around and i had to grab her freebie kit...i just loved the flowers in it. The site is Mother Dragon's Creations and from what i can tell they just started and i hope to be going back often. I made this layout with her kit...it's a picture of Ashleigh and Conner hamming it up for Nana..

I just realized that since I haven't been on 4shared in over a month, they deleted all my old files. I'm not sure what to put back on there, so if anyone would like a past qp, I guess, just leave me a comment here and i will reload any that are wanted....sorry about that.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everybody! I know I am late,but I finally have found my mojo,creative drive, whatever , but I finally felt the urge to create again, so I went and started on April's creepy crawlie kit. I did two pages from Halloween with the grand kids and my dear sweet hubby, who as you can see HAD to dress up also to take Ashleigh and Conner Trick or Treating. We all had fun and i even dressed up Baby Isabella. You can't tell but the way she is sitting up (even at only 2 months) is the really cool seat Amanda got at the baby shower....the coolest thing ever since Isabella has decided that the laying down prone position while she is awake is just NOT what makes her happy....she likes to be upright and looking around...anyways, here are my layouts....if you want the qp's you can get them here and here . I left off the words on the Halloween 2008 but i used the MatisseITC font if you want to use the same.

Apology

I wanted to apoligize for not posting lately. I am feeling a little out of sorts, one i got turned down to be on a CT team and also when looking at my 4 shared account my-- downloads vs. comments is sooo off. I know I am new at this but I thought the comments would help me grow and get better. But if no one comments (even to just say TY) then i get 85 downlaods I just feel used...I know 85 is not alot in scrappin land but to me i felt that was good for a beginner. I will probably be back later , especially as April has a new kit she is working on that I will want to show off. She is my inspiration, I hope to be as good as her one day....ok , pity party over. Bye for now.

Proud Parents

just a quick post, wanted to get one more page of my new grandaughter Isabella with her parents, Amanda and Jimmy, up before i go crazy with my stupid computer ( i mean.... nice computer, very nice computer) and it drives me to drink.( off tomorrow so that's ok if i do). one more quickpage with april's Baby Isabella's kit(hmmmmm... that makes 8 with this kit, i wonder how many more i will get out of it). anyways, you can get it here and please let me know what you think.

Be Careful What You Wish For....

Ashleigh and Conner couldn't wait for their baby sister Isabella to get here, but the first day when they got to see her and be in the same room with her , the first time she started crying they both looked at me then covered their ears...couldn't help but take their pictures at their antics. It was too funny. So naturally, the good nana that i am i had to save this moment for all to see...

Isabella Renee

Well I finally got time to scrap today (not much, but a little). I did two pages of my newest granddaughter Isabella Renee. She was born Tues. night and is such a little doll i have to control myself and share her with everyone else.....the first page is with some of her very first pictures and i am happy with it, the second page i did and then put in a picture. I am not sure if i like it after all...what do ya'll think....of course i made quick pages for ya'll to snag if you want you can download them here and here . She's here!!!

Baby Isabella finally got here (actually 2 weeks early) at 8 lbs, 15 oz, 210 1/2 inches....i really thought i would get to post new pics with this announcement but i left my camera at hospital with the new mom and dad to take more pics after they cleaned her up.. oh well maybe tomorrow...

Fluttering Dragonflies

I finally got a little cooperation from my computer and got a chance to work with April's newest kit Fluttering Dragonflies. It is really great, you should check it out at her blog. I made 2 qp's/layouts before my computer started getting contrary and decided not to press my luck. So I am trying to get this up really fast. if you want you can download the qp's here and here .The layouts are of my grandbabies Ashleigh and Conner playing in my front yard this summer. I felt bad for not having as many of Conner as I do of Ahleigh, but he doesn't pose as well...LOL. I hope you enjoy them and would really like to know what ya'll think of them.

Young Texan

I told my son Brandon about teasing him about going to Washington to learn to ride a horse, so I decided to do a page of my Ashleigh who would give anything to be able to ride horses daily if she could. She is sooo animal crazy . Between going to the zoo and any petting zoo (with pony rides of course) , I think she will either become a vet or some type of animal rescuer. I used April's kit again ( Chris's Rustic Cowboy Collection ) and I made a quick page the you can download

Last baby layout (I promise)

I know I said I wouldn't be doing any more layouts from Amanda's shower, but I couldn't resist showing off the latest qp i made using April's Baby Isabella's Kit. I am really very fond of it and may use this pattern again (i have got to get another kit). I hope everyone likes it as much as I do. Anyways, here it is and you can get the qp at the bottom. "Baby #3

I know i said I wouldn't be posting any more pages from the baby shower but i just couldn't resist showing off my newest qp/layout I made using April's Baby Isabella Kit she made for me. I didn't think I was going to get to it tonight but the addiction was strong than my tiredness...LOL. I did one qp using a saying that I wrote on a cake today at work and thought was too cute. so I guess this page was inspired by that ( first time I did a page with the words coming first before anything!). anyway I hope you like it and if you want you can get the qp here

i decided to do another quick page today. i will probably not post anymore layouts of Amanda's album(no guarantees though).... i wanted to do another page of my son Brandon who is taking riding lessons in Washington DC. ( i know, but not all Texans are born learning to ride)., anyways they are teaching him to ride but if you ask me i still think he would look better with a cowboy hat than that helmet...not very protective i know . Baby shower games

A few more layouts for Amanda's album. First two are of the yarn game--people pull out the amount of yarn they think will go around "mommy's " tummy....the amazing thing is my 4 year old granddaughter ended up playing (doesn't like to be left out of anything) and she came the closest to the right size missing by less than an inch...It was great....

credits for first layout goes to MagicMaker_babygirl qp and next goes to nana's attic_sweet country blooms_qp---both i altered to match colors...

Next two layouts are of the babyfood game(jars of baby food without labels) and the daddy to be was making the best faces...it was hard to pick one...anyway the credits for the first baby food one goes to nana's attic& cra-z-cat_simple beauty(also recolored) and the fourth one is Bald like me_bubbles babbles.

Saturday i had a baby shower for my daughter and did a few pages for her and plan on making a book for her all about her shower .the first three pages are quick pages from Nana's Attic - All About Me kit and the other two are from KimberlyRae's Adorable kit and add-on qps.

Quickie

just a quick post, today we are having a baby shower for my Amanda, so in between running around i had to stop and take a break and did another QP of April's kit which she has named Chris's Rustic Cowboy Collection. I even put a picture in this one. My son Brandon ( who has always been a little on the Preppy side) has started takeing riding lessons and i couldn't resist using a shot of him with this kit.... i will probably do more.LOL....anyways here it is....will post link later for 4shared if anyone would like this one or my first one(without pics of course.).

April's "Rustic Cowboy"(???)

I finally got to start on my BFF's newest kit, (which still isn't named yet) but i couldn't wait... here is my first QP using it. I am sure i will do more as there is sooo much to chooose from in this kit...I didn't get around to putting pics in yet as somehow my external harddrive was unplugged and just didn't feel like crawling under my desk tonight..(way to old for that). anyways bedtime, till later...bye.

I am so excited. My best friend April made the coolest frames, even I can use them.
